Susan initially qualified in General Dentistry from Guy’s Hospital in 1986. Following her qualification she gained further experience both in General Dental Practice and in several Hospital positions specialising first in Children’s Dentistry and Orthodontics and then in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She also studied for a further academic Fellowship examination before winning a place to start a three year programme of Specialist Training in Orthodontics based at King’s College and St. George’s Hospital in London. Susan is a Member of the British Orthodontic Society and on the General Dental Council’s Specialist Register.
Susan always wanted to work in orthodontic practice rather than the hospital environment and was thrilled when the opportunity arose to have Hinchley Wood Practice built. The Practice was opened in January 1997 and over the years Susan has built up a very successful and thriving mixed NHS and Private orthodontic practice at Hinchley Wood. Susan loves seeing the real difference that orthodontic treatment makes to her patients’ self-esteem and confidence. She is committed to providing quality NHS care to all those eligible, and to providing the best possible treatment for all her patients within a caring and very friendly environment.
Zania qualified as a General Dentist from King’s College, University of London. Lesley gained her general Dental Nursing qualification three years ago having worked at Hinchley Wood Practice as a Receptionist for 12 years prior to becoming an orthodontic nurse.
She enjoys working as a member of the Orthodontic Team and is an integral part of the day to day co-ordination of the Practice having extensive knowledge and experience of reception duties, customer service and orthodontic nursing and always strives to provide all our clients with high levels of care and support.
Maria started her career as a trainee dental nurse where she was trained and worked with a talented Dental Surgeon and Senior Nurse. As a young nurse two things were drilled into her as being paramount – this was being respectful and caring for all patients at all times, and nothing less. She gained a lot of satisfaction from caring for the patients and making sure they were happy.
Having left to pursue another career whilst her children were young, she returned to her dental nursing and joined the effervescent Hinchley Wood team where her top priority is still the care of all patients.
